Another test post

This one has been in the making for a while. Sonja and I have been working on and off in order to re-vamp the website for our old guild Hex, (currently Hex-with-extra-x due to the name being taken on their new server). A project that has taken longer than planned due to a chronic lack of time. One bottle-neck in particular was the new banner that I wanted, but never seemed to be able to find the time to draw. Until recently. Sonja and I took turns on working on the banner and the final piece is a collaborate drawing where it’s  difficult to tell who drew what .

The end result turned out pretty spiffy, and was the final missing piece before we (finally) could bring the new site online.

(Hexx are coincidentally looking for a hunter at the moment, if anyone is looking for a small tight-knight raiding guild to call their home).

Test post 1

Anders Brunlöf poked me the other day requesting a portrait to use for his twitter and whatnot, so I came up with this. Mostly I wanted to play around with the colours in this one, I figured baby-bluie and pink would work.

Otherwise I’ve been doing some more experiments with silk screen printing, with varying degrees of success. My girlfriend came up with this design that turned out remarkably well (despite me messing up when preparing the screen) but my own designs have been less succesful. I have a very specific design I’m trying to get right but it’s not quite there yet. I’m trying to print very fine lines on textile, but I’m running into various production issues. The one time I’m not preparing the screen properly, the other I take too long and the ink dries up in the screen. It’s frustrating, but I’m accumulating tips and tricks to improve my technique. Soon enough I’ll get it down right.
